.Health Kits for Disaster Relief
Chebeague Island United Methodist Church’s youth are preparing Health Kits for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). The Health Kits will be shipped to UMCOR and will be provided to people forced out of their homes by natural disaster or human conflict. The youth in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School have set a goal of creating 50 Health Kits by August 16, 2019.
Each kit includes a hand towel, wash cloth, comb, metal nail clipper, bath-size soap (no Ivory or Jergen's soap), toothbrush and ten adhesive bandages. Two dollars per kit will be donated so that toothpaste may be purchased by UMCOR to add to each kit and for shipping.
Donations of any of the above items can be dropped off at the Chebeague United Methodist Church (CUMC) Parish House or in the CUMC Church narthex. Donated funds can be made to the Chebeague United Methodist Church (please note “Health Kits” in the memo).

Join our Deep Blue friends Asia, Edgar, Kat, and Caleb as they learn Bible stories, encounter God all over the world, and discover ways to serve others!
Find us every Sunday morning at 9:45 at the Parish House for Deep Blue Kids - our One Room Schoolhouse Sunday School for children of all ages. Kids will start the morning by hearing the story for the day from the Bible before joining the larger community in the sanctuary for the opening part of worship. After the children's moment, kids are welcome to head back to Sunday School for more stories, songs, crafts, and more!
Deep Blue Kids will…
Be with God
Love God and neighbor
Understand themselves as children of God
Explore faith and the Bible
